NPC or DIE Mobile Controls

More than half of Roblox sessions happen on phone or tablet, and NPC or DIE is fully playable on touch. Mobile uses a virtual joystick, an on-screen action button, and tap-to-shoot instead of WASD and E. This guide explains every touch control, layout tweaks, and role-specific tips so you are not at a disadvantage in public lobbies or trading meetups.

Virtual Joystick Movement

Drag the left thumbstick to move. Criminals should make small, deliberate strokes — jerky joystick spam looks unlike NPC movement. Sheriffs can flick the stick for quick repositioning between task zones.

Sprint on mobile: Double-tap forward on the joystick (Roblox mobile default) or use the sprint toggle if enabled in Roblox settings. Criminals must sprint sparingly; NPCs maintain steady walking speed through the Wild West crowds.

Action Button (Interact)

The action button is the mobile equivalent of E on PC. Tap it at glowing task markers to complete Criminal objectives, open doors, and interact with lobby vendors. The button glows or changes icon when a valid target is in range.

Stand still before tapping — moving while interacting fails more often on mobile due to touch imprecision. If the button does not appear, inch closer to the task marker; some nodes have tight radius checks identical to PC.

Tap-to-Shoot (Sheriff)

When you roll Sheriff, a fire button appears (often crosshair or pistol icon). Tap to shoot — same three-life rule as PC. Wrongful kills on NPCs still deduct lives.

Camera Control

Drag anywhere on the right side of the screen to rotate camera. Pinch or use Roblox two-finger gestures to zoom (if enabled). High camera sensitivity helps track suspects; adjust in Roblox mobile settings outside the game.

Chat and /votekick on Mobile

Open the chat bubble, type /votekick Username, and send — identical to PC. Typing on phone is slower; use votekick only when necessary. For trading negotiations, many players use Discord alongside in-game lobby trading.

Lobby Menus on Touch

Between rounds, tap gear for code redemption, shop, and inventory. Equip sheriff skins, guns, and house cosmetics before the next role roll. Trading UI is tap-driven; double-check offer values against our tier lists before confirming.

Mobile Performance Tips

Crowded NPC scenes drop FPS on older phones, which adds input lag:

• Lower Roblox graphics quality to level 3 or below
• Disable heavy post-processing in Roblox settings
• Close background apps before long sessions
• Use Wi-Fi instead of weak mobile data

Smooth FPS matters more for Criminal blending than raw graphics — you need to match NPC animation timing frame-by-frame.

Tablet vs Phone

Tablets offer wider action button spacing, reducing mis-taps on interact during tense tasks. Phones benefit from Roblox “dynamic thumbstick” setting for smaller hands. Either device can reach high level rewards like Knight Lionheart with consistent play.
